In one of the blogs from the gazette online, it was talking about the O-Line from the Iowa Hawkeyes. I am pretty interested in this piece because here at COE I play on the O-Line. While reading this I could relate to a lot of the information that was being posted, such as injuries affecting the entire line and kids having to step up and make plays. This is like the situation when my friend Jacob had to come in and play when our starting left tackle got hurt due to an infection. He had to come into a really tough game half way through the season and prove to the coaches he deserved to be there. He did prove to the coaches that he deserved to be there and got the starting position. Me personally I am just waiting for the chance to get i there and prove myself.

I read this blog too, and I think that it does a great job of talking about life on the O-Line. I really just wanted to comment on this blog because it references me, and its the little things like getting recognized like this that make everything worth it.
ReplyDeleteThat is an interesting blog. I really give a lot of credit to the offensive line of any football team. They are kind of the work horses out there that make all the big and exciting plays possible. These linemen don't usually get much credit when they actually deserve most all of it. If the O-line doesn't block well, the star quarterback won't be able to get off his perfect passes. An offensive line can either make players look very good or very bad.
